Step into the kitchen of Cenario's Pizza, where a family legacy of mouth-watering recipes has been serving Northern California since 1986. Irresistible pizzas and signature pastas that keep locals coming back for more.

But as the digital world evolved, Cenario's realized their online presence wasn't capturing their true flavor. Their mouth-watering creations and warm hospitality weren't translating well online.

Enter Kelvin Guevara, the visionary president of the Dixon franchise. Kelvin recognized the potential to elevate Cenario's Pizza's digital presence to match the quality of their food. Together, Cenario's Pizza of Dixon and Open Omega embarked on a mission to boost online sales by translating their vibrant dining experience to the digital world, even amidst the challenging backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Research Outcomes

Our research aimed to understand the preferences of Cenario's Pizza customers. We conducted a comprehensive study of the customer experience, interviewing loyal customers in Dixon and engaging with frequent online diners from various local restaurants.

Our comprehensive research process delivered crucial insights that guided the project's direction. We gathered location-specific and proprietary consumer behavior data, while also refining insights from industry-wide restaurant benchmarks. Key findings included:

Consumers confirmed that they prefer ordering directly from the restaurant if it means their money goes to the restaurant and not a third party.

Professional food photos guaranteed an increase in sales.

Customers are more likely to visit a restaurant in person if they place online orders from the same restaurant.

To enhance in-store dining, we designed QR-coded table tents linking to a dedicated digital menu—this improved customer experience and provided valuable in-store analytics.

Coupon Design
